WORKSHOP TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read through the following Terms and Conditions carefully before registering for a workshop.

Your place on a workshop is only confirmed once the payment transaction is complete. You will receive an email confirmation which serves as your ticket.

1) Age Guidelines
Workshops by Bentley & Hart are designed to be relaxed and fun for participants aged 16 and older.

2) Please arrive on time
To ensure everyone has a great candle making experience, we start our workshops promptly at the set start time. Upon arrival please choose your work station, mix with other participants and get ready to start.

3) Cancellation Policy
Unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds for cancellations. If you can’t make the workshop but wish to send another person in your place as a substitute that is fine, providing you notify us by email bentleyandhart@xtra.co.nz at least 48 hours in advance and that they follow the Terms & Conditions detailed herein.

4) Changing Workshop Dates
We understand that sometimes situations arise that may require you to change your workshop date. These changes will be at Bentley & Hart’s discretion. Please contact us directly by phone or email as soon as possible to see how we could assist.

5) BYO
Many of the workshops occur late morning or early afternoon. Unless otherwise stated we supply Tea and Coffee for a mid-session break. If you wish to bring snacks or a drink bottle that is fine, providing the work spaces remain clear, and all food is consumed in the break room and not in the workshop area.

6) Guests
We ask that only paid participants attend the workshops. Space is limited in the workshop studio and to ensure everyone has freedom to create harmoniously, the number of participants is managed tightly. Currently our maximum limit is 12.

7) Workshop Cancellations
A minimum number of 8 is required for the workshop to go ahead. We will contact you as early as we possibly can if a workshop needs to be cancelled for any reason.

8) Candle Completion
The candles you make in your workshop will generally be transport stable by the end of the workshop. In some weather a longer setting time may be required. If you are unable to wait until your candle has set, we are able to ship the candles to you for an additional fee of $10.00. This can be paid on the day.

To obtain the best fragrance throw, and providing you are willing to wait, we recommend that you allow your candles to cure 48 hours before lighting.

9) Hazards
Registering for a workshop requires participants to follow our Chandlers’ directions. This is to ensure both safety and best possible candle results.

All candles are poured into heat tolerant glass jars designed for candle making. We use a premium blend of soy and coconut wax & fragrances. Wicks are made from cotton and paper and free of zinc or other metals.

The use of any knowledge learned through the workshop is at the participant’s risk and Bentley and Hart accept no responsibility for damage occurring outside of the workshops. Registering for a workshop infers acceptance of the above hazards.

10) Social Media
From time to time we take photos at the workshops for promotional use. If you would prefer us not to use photos of you for this purpose, please notify us by email bentleyandhart@xtra.co.nz least 1 day before the workshop you are booked to attend.
